Barkalow Bros. was a news firm that operated newsstands that sold tobacco merchandise, sweet and candles. Barkalow Bros. was positioned at 407 S 15th Street and the Union Pacific Headquarters Building in Omaha, Nebraska. William O. Amsden was part of the Seattle Photo Co. in 1890 together with Chester B. Walsworth. Amsden was also a part of the Mountaineers and in 1890 was part of the Mount Rainier climbing get together that included Fay Fuller, who upon the completion of this ascent was the primary woman to stand on the summit.
